TO: PARMLY BILLINGS LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FROM: LESLIE MODROW, FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR RE: FOUNDATION REPORT MEETING DATE: JULY 10, 2008 Foundation Committees will be working on action steps developed during the board retreat: • Fundraising Committee-Identifying 5 new major donors • Community Outreach Committee-Develop presentation commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the Parmly Billings Library Foundation • Investment Committee-Formulating Investment Policy Bruce Whittenberg, Bill Cochran and Leslie Modrow have been working together to develop a community dialogue workshop. Tentative plans to have workshop in January. Humanities Montana will be approached for financial support. Norma Buchanan and Leslie Modrow had lunch with Greg McDonald, past Foundation Board member and Foundation donor. He remains interested in the Library and would like to be informed on building progress. Particularly interested in downtown facility.
