TO: PARMLY BILLINGS LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FROM: BILL COCHRAN, DIRECTOR RE: REPORT MEETING DATE: MARCH 12, 2009 ACTIVITIES REPORT I Co-Chaired the 2-4 de-briefing meeting of the Project Homeless Connect Committee and participated in the 2-12 meeting of the Mayor’s Committee on Homelessness. I joined Assistant Director Jim Peters at the 2-11 meeting of the Friends of the Library Board and participated in discussions with United Way of Yellowstone County Executive Director Carol Burton about plans for the Library and Friends to participate with United Way to serve ‘tweens’ with after-school programming. I joined Library staff and others at the 2-11 meeting of the High Plains Book Award Committee. I participated in the 2-17 Library Foundation Board meeting. Cindy Patterson participated in an International Reading Association Conference in Phoenix 2- 19/2-26. Systems Administrator Dee Ann Redman and Librarian Lynne Puckett attended Offline, the annual retreat of the Montana Library Association’s technology interest group, in Anaconda 2- 20/21. I joined many Library and MSU-Billings staff and others in a number of planning meetings 2-24/25 for the proposed Community Library project, conducted by High Plains Architects, LMN Architects and Drew Harrington Associates. Elizabeth Fellerer attended the MERC meeting on 2-24.
