1 RESOLUTION NO. 02-17906 A RESOLUTION MAKING THE ANNUAL ALL-PURPOSE MILL LEVY AND MILL LEVIES FOR LIBRARY OPERATING, TRANSIT OPERATING, PUBLIC SAFETY FUNDS AND GENERAL OBLIGATION DEBT SERVICE FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003. WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the City of Billings is required to make annual mill levies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BILLINGS, MONTANA: 1. That an All-Purpose Annual Mill Levy in the amount of 69.50 Mills is hereby imposed on all taxable property within the City of Billings, Montana, for the Fiscal Year 1 July 2002 through 30 June 2003. 2. That additional Mill Levies in the amounts stated are hereby imposed on all taxable property within the City of Billings, Montana, to provide payment for the following: A. 10.00 Transit Operating Fund B. 9.50 Library Operating Fund C. 20.00 Public Safety Fund D. 1.23 General Obligation Debt Service Fund 3. That when said taxes are collected, the same shall be placed in respective funds for the City and expended pursuant to the annual budget and bond ordinance. 4. That the total annual mill levy for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 is declared to be 110.23 mills. 5. That upon passage of this Resolution, the City Clerk shall certify that same to the County Treasurer of Yellowstone County, Montana, who shall collect said taxes in the manner as provided by law. 6. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council this 23rd day of September, 2002.
