CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Deferred Loan program RECONVEYANCE PROCESS 1. The title company sends written request for payoff statement to the Community Development Division staff. 2. Community Development staff provides a disclosure of the repayment guidelines and the payoff amount 3. The title company issues a repayment check to the Community Development Division. 4. Community Development Division staff complete forms necessary for reconveyance (for example): • Substitution of Trustee • Full Reconveyance • Beneficiary’s request for full reconveyance of trust indenture. 5. Community Development Staff forward forms & file to Community Development Manager for approval. 6. Community Development Staff forward forms to the Legal Department for City Attorney’s signature. 7. City of Billings Legal Department forward forms to Mayor for signature as required. 8. Mayor’s office forwards signed forms to Community Development staff. 9. Community Development staff copy forms for file and send original forms to the title company. 10. The title company must submit forms for recording, and then forward a copy of the recorded 11.
