FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Rhonda Johnson, Public Information Officer, Big Horn County (406) 679-0572 Big Horn County Reports 16 Newly-confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Ten (10) cases attributed to “community spread” HARDIN, MONTANA (July 28, 2020) – Big Horn County added 16 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Community spread is likely in the cases of ten (10) patients, as there was no clear connection to positive cases, while six were tested as a result of contact with previously-confirmed positive patients. Five persons are deceased. Of the 122 active cases, 113 patients are quarantining and recovering at home, and nine patients are hospitalized. Masks are required when engaged in indoor activities, such as shopping. Masks are not necessary in the event that residents are outdoors and unlikely to come within six feet of other people, such as while taking advantage of our beautiful county, to work, recreate, or exercise. Tracking down contacts to a positive case (contact tracing) is one of the best tools public health can use to slow the spread of the virus.
