JUNK VEHICLE RELEASE I, certify that I am the registered owner of a I release this vehicle to the Junk Vehicle program and authorize the payment for the Junk Vehicle bounty for this vehicle to be paid to The check will be made payable to NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Big Horn County will pay a $25.00 bounty for all junk vehicles released for pick up by the Big Horn County Junk Vehicle Program. The bounty will be paid through the county claim process once the vehicle has been retrieved and delivered to a county-designated site. In order to have the junk vehicle removed, the proper release forms must be completed including title number, VIN number and signature of owner. To receive the $25.00 bounty a county claim form must be completed. If you are interested in having a junk vehicle removed, please contact the Big Horn County Road Department at 665-9860. Copies of the Junk Vehicle Release Forms can be obtained at the County Treasurer’s Office and the Road Department. BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS BIG HORN COUNTY, MONTANA ---PAGE BREAK--- TO: Vehicle Owner ---PAGE BREAK--- To ensure the removal of a vehicle, please follow these guidelines in preparing the vehicle for removal. 1. Remove all garbage/accessories from the vehicle. This includes refuse, clothing, blankets, or any other items that are not original components of the vehicle. 2. Make sure there are no more than five tires with the vehicle (four with one spare). More than five tires per vehicle will not be removed. 3. Make sure the vehicle is easily accessible, and that the doors are unlocked. 4. Please make sure all your personal items have been removed from the vehicle. Access will be denied once the vehicle has been removed. The County Junk Vehicle Yard has restricted access. 5. A $25.00 bounty will be paid once the vehicle has been retrieved. The attached claim must be signed identifying the make, model, year, color & vehicle identification number (vin#). A recovery fee (bounty, hauling & storage) will be assessed should the vehicle be reclaimed within 48 hours after retrieval.
