FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Rhonda Johnson, Public Information Officer, Big Horn County (406) 679-0572 Big Horn County Reports One Newly-confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Patient is male in his 50’s HARDIN, MONTANA (July 5, 2020) – Big Horn County added one additional confirmed positive case of COVID-19 on Sunday. The patient is a male in his 50’s found through contact tracing from a previously-confirmed case. Total confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Big Horn County: Age Ranges Female Male Totals Recovered Active Deaths Under age 10 5 8 13 Age 10 – 19 8 11 19 Age 20 – 29 11 4 15 Age 30 – 39 6 6 12 Age 40 – 49 3 3 6 Age 50 – 59 3 8 11 Age 60 – 69 4 8 12 Over age 70 1 2 3 Totals 41 50 91 49 38 4 Recoveries in the County continue to total 49. Four persons are deceased. Of the 38 active cases, 36 patients are quarantining and recovering at home, and two remain hospitalized. Big Horn County wants to remind all residents of the County to wear a mask and social distance when outside of their homes and in public. Masks are required when engaged in indoor activities, such as shopping. Masks are not necessary in the event that residents are outdoors and unlikely to come within six feet of other people, such as while taking advantage of our beautiful county, to work, recreate, or exercise. Tracking down contacts to a positive case (contact tracing) is one of the best tools public health can use to slow the spread of the virus.
