FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Rhonda Johnson, Public Information Officer, Big Horn County (406) 679-0572 Big Horn County Reports Four Newly-confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Another case from possible community spread HARDIN, MONTANA (July 19, 2020) – Big Horn County added four confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. All are One patient likely contracted the virus through community spread and three were contacts of previously-confirmed cases. Five persons are deceased. Of the 72 active cases, 66 patients are quarantining and recovering at home, and six patients remain hospitalized. Masks are required when engaged in indoor activities, such as ---PAGE BREAK--- Page 2 of 2 shopping. Masks are not necessary in the event that residents are outdoors and unlikely to come within six feet of other people, such as while taking advantage of our beautiful county, to work, recreate, or exercise. Tracking down contacts to a positive case (contact tracing) is one of the best tools public health can use to slow the spread of the virus.
