FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT: Rhonda Johnson, Public Information Officer, Big Horn County (406) 679-0572 Big Horn County Reports Ten (10) Newly-confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Two additional patients hospitalized for a total of seven HARDIN, MONTANA (July 22, 2020) – Big Horn County added ten (10) confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Three patients likely contracted the virus through community spread and are Seven were close contacts of previously-confirmed cases and were at the time of testing. Five persons are deceased. Of the 79 active cases, 72 patients are quarantining and recovering at home, and seven patients are hospitalized. Masks are required when engaged in indoor activities, such as shopping. Masks are not necessary in the event that residents are outdoors and unlikely to come within six feet of other people, such as while taking advantage of our beautiful county, to work, recreate, or exercise. Tracking down contacts to a positive case (contact tracing) is one of the best tools public health can use to slow the spread of the virus.
