The summer is already barreling toward us! We have to act fast because sum- mers go so fast! There are few things I really want to let you know about so you don’t miss an opportunity to get them on your calendars now! The City of Belgrade is organizing the Farmers Market this summer but we are doing it completely different! We are actively looking for back yard gardeners, bakers and craft- ers who would love to get their farmers market feet wet but don’t have the inventory or money to be part of the big markets. We are holding a Vendor Workshop on April 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Belgrade Library to help educate potential vendors and to touch base with experienced vendors who want to join us! If you are interested in this, let me know and I will get you more info! Who: Caregivers, former caregivers, and anyone interested in supporting caregivers When: Second Friday of each month Take a break and connect with others who understand parts of your caregiving journey. This is an informal, supportive hour — sometimes simply being together helps the most. Future sessions may include focused topics and brief informational presentations, but there is no obligation to participate beyond showing up. You are not alone. Easter Dinner April 6, 2026 at 12:00 Sign Up by April 1, 2026 Fireside Book Club April 3, 2026 1:00 PM at the Library We will be reading The Bee Sting By Paul Murray Building Update Rumors have been circulating again about when and where we might be moving, but the truth is there is no update on a Senior Center relocation at this time. City Administration and HR moved to the “new” Belgrade City Hall (the Quaw School) in March, and as renovations continue, more city offices will be relocating there as well. The Heck School is planned to become the new Belgrade Justice Center, which will house the Police De- partment and the City Court. I do want to reassure you that we have not been forgotten. There are many things happening within the City right now, and while our need for additional space remains an ongoing priority, there are only early ideas being discussed and no concrete plans for change in the foreseeable future. ---PAGE BREAK--- Share Your Story: Become a CAP Mentor CAP Mentoring (Childhood Advancement Program) through Thrive is inviting senior adults to become mentors for elementary students at Ridge View Elementary and Saddle Peak Elementary in Belgrade. Hey—Listen Up! April 3, 2026 from 12:30— 1:30 Matt from Bozeman Miracle Ear will share simple, hands-on tips for cleaning and caring for hearing aids, and offer an on-site hearing assessment for anyone interested. Hearing health is about more than sound — it’s about staying connected to the people and moments that matter most. Better hearing supports: Understanding Mental wellness Overall well-being Connecting loved ones The League of Women Voters will be here on April 10, 2026 From 11:00-1:00 to assist with Voter Registration. April Events at the Senior Center You have a lifetime of stories, lessons, and experiences that matter. For many CAP students, school can feel overwhelming. What they need most is a steady, caring adult who will listen, encourage them, and give them something to look forward to each week. Mentors are matched with a student based on personality and meet for one hour each week to talk, read, play games, or work on simple projects together. Your time and encouragement can make a lasting difference in a child’s life. Join us for lunch on April 15, 2026 to learn more about the CAP mentoring program and how you can get involved. ---PAGE BREAK--- Rainbow, Umbrella, Flower, Tulip, Green, Bloom, April, Butterfly, Rain, Garden, Bee, may, Spring, Sunshine, Bunny, March, Seed Spring Word Scramble Montana: Fun Facts About the Treasure State “Montana Facts” (thefactfile.org) Whether you’ve lived here for years or are just getting to know Big Sky Country, here are 25 quick facts about Montana: • Montana is the 4th largest state in the U.S. by area. • It became the 41st state on November 8, 1889. • The capital city is Helena. • Montana’s nickname is the “Treasure State.” • It’s also known as “Big Sky Country.” • The name “Montana” comes from Spanish, meaning “mountain.” • There are 56 counties in the state. • Montana is one of the few states with no sales tax. • The state is rich in gold, silver, copper, and coal. • There are over 100 mountain ranges in western Montana. • It is the only U.S. state exactly one time zone wide. • There are more cattle than people in Montana. • Wildlife includes grizzly bears, elk, and bison. • The grizzly bear is the state animal. • Montana has a large population of golden eagles. • The state flower is the bitterroot. • It is the largest landlocked state in the U.S. • The highest point is Granite Peak (12,807 feet). • There are over 15,000 miles of hiking trails across the state.
