I don’t know about you, but sometimes I forget that there is always some- thing to be thankful for! It can be so easy to forget the blessings when our life gets clouded with hard things - health issues, money trouble, loss, fear of the future, family situations that seem to have no solutions. All these things steal our peace and joy and leave us feeling stuck in our circumstances with no foreseen change or way out. We find ourselves getting buried in all that is wrong, we forget that there is still a lot of right around us. It doesn’t take much to change our perspective. Maybe instead of staring out the window deep in your difficult thoughts, allow your eyes to see what an absolutely beautiful autumn we have been given. Maybe reach out to an old friend and thank them for their friendship. Maybe encourage a young mom or dad to enjoy the crazy season of raising kids because, as we all know, it goes entirely too fast. Find one or two things each day to be thankful for and before you know it, life will start to look up a bit! Another thing that could start to change your perspective is to come on over and spend some time with us! Many friendships have been made sharing a meal together. Wonderful stories and laughter help lighten the load. There is always a place for you at our table! Come and tell us the things your are thankful for! Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. They say it’s good to recognize your weaknesses and surrounds yourself with people who can compensate! So I am asking for help! Project Did you know we have a Facebook page? If you didn’t, I’m not sur- prised! I barely do social media myself, so I am lucky if I get the menu and ac- tivity calendar on our page. Is there someone out there who would just LOVE to take over our Facebook Page? So much goes on here and it is a shame that we don’t show it off more! Project We need someone to organize this mess on a regular basis. We have so much great information on re- sources and programs but this is such a disaster it’s hard to find anything! Maybe there is a master organizer out there who would love to own this! Stop by and chat with me if you are interested in either of these projects! Now is no time to think of what you do not have. Think of what you can do with what there is.
