Invitation to Bid Section 00100-1 DIVISION 0 - BIDDING AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS SECTION 00100 - INVITATION TO BID ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Notice is hereby given that the City of Belgrade, Montana is requesting separate sealed bids for construction of the 2023 Groundwater Test Wells (City of Belgrade Work Order 22-01). Bids will be received by the City of Belgrade, MT, 91 East Central Avenue, Belgrade, MT 59714 until 2:00 P.M. local time, Wednesday, May 31, 2023, and then publicly opened and read thereafter. Project generally includes, but is not limited to the following: The project includes completion of two nominal 6-inch diameter, bottom hole completion test wells drilled and cased to 400 feet below ground surface or through the entire thickness of alluvial gravels, whichever comes first. Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form. Printed copies of the bid documents are not available from the Engineer or the Owner. Bid documents may be viewed online at by inputting the Quest project/request number #8514962 and downloaded for $22.00. The documents are also available at your local plan rooms. Addenda to the project will be posted on the website and registered plan holders will be provided e-mail notification of addenda when posted. BIDDERs must register on and download the bidding documents to receive addenda notifications. The BIDDER is responsible for periodically checking the site. The CONTRACTOR that is awarded the project will be responsible for printing all documents necessary for performing the work. There will be a pre-bid conference on Tuesday, May 23 at 1:30 P.M., in the training room at the Central Valley Fire District Station No. 1 at 215 Wings Way, Belgrade, MT 59714. CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’s SUBCONTRACTORs doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws and ordinances of the City of Belgrade, Gallatin County, and the State of Montana. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. ---PAGE BREAK--- Invitation to Bid Section 00100-2 Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Belgrade, MT in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful BIDDERs shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a Certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
