There are also so many fun, happy times to remember and most of those memories where made here with many of you! Thank you for a great year! I’m ready to dive into 2024! How about you? We held off as long as we could but prices continue to go up, up, up! We will be closed January 1st for New Years and January 15th for Martin Luther King Day. Frozen meals are always available so please let us know if you would like to have some. However, we are working on a plan! With the help of volunteers, we are hoping to keep the Center open for activities and a light lunch/snacks. We are planning to have this in place by February - hopefully!! “I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, ‘Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.’” - Lewis Carroll ---PAGE BREAK--- Daily Activities After Lunch Activities Mon: 12:30 Pinochle 12:45 Arts & Crafts Tues: Taxes Starting in Feb! Empowering Caregivers: The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI) and the T-CARE Program Rocky’s Agency on Aging offers T-CARE to support family caregivers throughout their care- giving journey. Do you help someone you love with shopping, dressing, toileting, bathing, finances, transportation, medical, or legal decisions? If you help at all, you are a caregiver! T- CARE is designed to help caregivers, like you, address their own health needs while caring for a loved one. The T-CARE program was created by the Rosalynn Carter Institute. As such, we would like to honor Carter’s personal experiences as a family caregiver and salute the results of her advo- cacy. As a young girl, Rosalynn Carter witnessed firsthand the challenges of caregiving when her family took in her grandfather, who needed assistance due to his declining health. Throughout her marriage to Jimmy Carter, Rosalynn provided unwavering support and care for her husband, especially during his presidency and after his diagnosis of non Hodgkin in 2002. The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers (RCI) developed the “T-CARE” model, a compre- hensive approach to providing caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to effectively care for themselves and their loved ones. The T-CARE model, a corner- stone of the RCI work, stands as a testament to Rosalynn Carter legacy of caregiver support. By empowering caregivers with knowledge, skills, and resources, the T-CARE program has made a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals, enabling them to navigate the challenges of caregiving with strength and resilience. Don’t carry the burdens of caregiving alone. If you are interested, please call Rocky’s Agency on Aging at (406) 457-7368. ---PAGE BREAK--- VOLUNTEERS We couldn't do this without you!
