Temporary Traffic Control Plan Explanation A Temporary Traffic Control Plan (TTCP) is required whenever any part of a block party will take place within any Arvada street. The TTCP shows how road users (including cars, trucks, buses, bikes, and pedestrians) will be informed about and guided through or around the block party zone. Usually this involves a combination of advance warning signs (barricades, Road Closed). See Block Party Street Closure template (Hand-drawn plans are not accepted). If you would prefer to contact a traffic control company and request they create a TTCP, the City cannot recommend any specific company, but see below for a few companies that you can find in the Yellow Pages or Google. ● Q3 Contracting ● Colorado Barricade ● BAS Rentals ● Rocky Mountain Flagging *Note: If you reserved the Block Party Trailer, the required Type III barricades are provided inside. If you are not reserving the Block Party Trailer, you will need to rent Type III barricades, and can use one of the traffic control companies. Any affected properties/residents must provide consent to the roadway closure and an event must demonstrate 80% approval of the neighborhood residents for the City to allow the roadway closure. Please circulate a petition requesting the name, signature, and an indication that the resident agrees to the closure. Please note that only Local Streets can be closed for block parties.
