Trees Across Arvada 16940 W. 63rd Place Arvada, Colorado 80403 Fall 2024 Dear Arvada-Area Neighbor, Are you: - Wanting to make your yard more beautiful? - Wanting to add tree diversity to the neighborhood? - Hoping to reduce your summer utility bill by increasing the shade on your home? “Trees Across Arvada” is your answer! The program is back for its 21st year of making low-cost shade trees available to Arvada area residents. Over 3,800 drought-resistant trees have been planted in Arvada as a result of this program. “TAA” is made possible through the Colorado Tree Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Colorado’s community forests. The 12 trees for 2025 include varieties with color in the summer and fall, flowers in spring and summer, and a few old, reliable favorites. Once established, the trees are all low- to moderately-low water use varieties. The trees are grown in air-pruned containers. “APC” trees are grown in a patented container where air prunes the roots fostering a dense fibrous root system. At arrival, trees are 4 – 10 feet tall and are up to 1 inch caliper. Prices range from $85 to $90. Read through the attached tree descriptions, and prepare your tree order, for planting in April, 2025. Tree orders are due, with full payment, by February, 1, 2025 Availability of some trees is limited, so order early. Tree distribution is mid-April at Majestic View Nature Center, 70th & Garrison.
