Applying for a Municipal Contractor’s License All license applications can be applied for at www.arvadapermits.org. Licenses expire one year from the date of issuance. License Applications (New) Go to www.arvadapermits.org and click on “Apply for Contractor License” under the contractor heading. Follow the instructions on the application and submit. All required documentation must be uploaded in order for the application to be reviewed. Review of applications may take 5 business days to complete. License Applications (Renewals) Go to www.arvadapermits.org and login in using your current AEC number. Follow the prompts to apply and submit. All required documentation must be uploaded in order for the application to be reviewed. Review of applications may take 5 business days to complete. Documentation Required Municipal General Contractor License Allows for: ● All work in the ROW ● Completed application and affidavit ● Certificate of insurance including liability and workman’s comp. City of Arvada to be marked as certificate holder and additional insured ● Current municipal bond including power of attorney. Please note original bonds must be on our City of Arvada bond form Fee: $210 Updating Insurance and/or Bonds For licenses that are current/active and only need updated insurance and/or bond and power of attorney, please email those items to [EMAIL REDACTED]. On certificates of insurance, please ensure that the City of Arvada is the certificate holder and also marked as additional insured. Ensure that bonds are signed and sealed and the power of attorney is included.
