Anaheim Blvd., Suite 145 Anaheim, California 92805 Phone: (714)765-5153 Fax: (714)765-4607 www.anaheim.net/building APRIL 2018 B830 MAY 2018 B846 INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL/MULTI-FAMILY SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Number of sets of plans and other information required for initial submittal: Five sets of architectural/structural/mechanical/plumbing/electrical plans, wet- stamped and signed by architect or engineer, are required (one set each will be routed to Planning and Public Works Departments). Exception: Mechanical/ plumbing/ electrical plans may be wet-signed by the licensed engineer or a design/build contractor. Two sets of structural calculations and soils report (if any) wet-stamped and signed by an engineer. Two sets of energy calculations wet-signed by the designer who prepares it. Two copies of soils reports. Grading plans including storm drains are reviewed by the Development Services Section of the Public Works Department. Visit www.anaheim.net for their submittal requirements. Architectural/structural/mechanical/plumbing/electrical plans, drawn on 18”X 24” or larger paper, shall include, but not limited, to the following: 1. A clear scope of work and a building design summary specifying the type of construction, occupancy, sprinkler requirement, fire-rated roof/floor/framing, fire wall/barrier/partition, etc shall be specified on the plans. 2. Site plan showing location of parking, disabled access, and building entrances. 3. Compliance with disabled access requirements, i.e. main entrance, path of travel from public sidewalk/parking, restrooms, drinking fountain/telephone if provided, etc. 4. Floor and roof plans, building elevations, building sections, door and window schedules, and architectural details including penetration through fire-rated assemblies. 5. Structural foundation, floor and roof framing plans, member sizes, and construction details. 6. Mechanical design including, but not limited to the following: a) Mechanical equipment schedules including capacity and weight. b) Duct size, CFM, material, layout plan, and duct support details. c) Smoke and fire damper locations. d) Title 24 Energy Compliance form to be part of the plans. 7. Plumbing design including, but not limited to the following: a) Site plan showing water, sewer, and gas lines, and their connections. b) Floor plan showing all plumbing fixture locations. c) Fixture schedule and waste and vent isometric plans. d) Roof and overflow drain size and location. e) Water, sewer, and gas line size and justification for their sizes. ---PAGE BREAK--- City of Anaheim PLANNING DEPARTMENT Building Division 200 S. Electrical design including, but not limited to the following: a) Complete floor plan showing locations of all electrical equipment, electrical wiring to same. Specify use and occupancy of all rooms/areas shown on floor plans. b) Panel schedules and details including over current devices and grounding, complete with interrupting capacity calculations. Provide single-line diagram showing the areas of the building supplied by each feeder, the total computed load before and after applying demand factors, the demand factors used, and the size, type of conductors to be used, and ground for both the service and separately-derived systems (transformers, generators) showing sizes, destination, and types for each. (Load calculations shall be prepared for electrical service greater than 200 amperes) c) Provide all pertinent “available fault current” (AIC) information and supporting documentation from the Anaheim Public Utilities Department on the plan sheets and design accordingly (show all fault current calculations throughout). d) Series interrupting rating, manufacturer and catalog name of components shall be included on the plans. e) Wire size, type, and insulation. Conduit size and type. f) Fixture schedule and support details. g) Graphical symbol list. h) Show switch and receptacle heights per State of California disabled access requirements. i) Title 24 energy compliance forms to be part of the plans.
