02/08/11 Parking permits are only required for vehicles parked on the streets posted in a Permit Parking District. Permits are not required to park in your driveway or garage. RESIDENT PERMIT STICKERS A resident permit sticker is available for each vehicle assigned to the home. Each permit sticker is valid for 2 years at a cost of $30 each. The following documents are required: Proof of address within the Permit Parking District in the form of a valid driver’s license, vehicles registration, rental agreement, utility bill, or home owner consent. Vehicle license plate number or vehicle identification number (VIN is required for each permit purchased. Resident permits stickers are assigned to a specific vehicle and must be applied: On the outside of the rear window, bottom left (driver side). If rear window is not available, apply the permit on the rear bumper (driver side). If neither rear window or rear bumper is available, apply the permit to the outside, on the bottom of the front windshield, driver side, without blocking the VIN Residents are responsible for the renewal of their parking permits prior to expiration. Resident permit stickers may be transferred (same owner, new car) for a $15 processing fee. GUEST PERMITS Guest permits are required for guests, parties, and RVs. Proof of residency at the permit parking address is required in the form of a valid driver’s license or utility bill, etc. Guest permits are available online for $1 each or sold in packs of (25) for $25, at the Public Works, Traffic Engineering Division counter. Guest permits are valid all day the 1st day and until noon the 2nd day. Resident must write the date with a permanent marker sharpie) on the guest permit to be valid. Each Guest permit can only be used once and the date may not be changed. Guest permit must be displayed on the bottom of the front windshield on the driver side above the VIN Guest permits do not expire until used. Vehicles with Guest Permits displayed improperly (No date, non-permanent ink, etc.) may be cited.
