Your partnership is needed to achieve these goals. The City of Anaheim’s Nuisance Ordinance and Zoning Codes are designed to protect the residential atmosphere of your neighborhood as well as to prevent unsafe and use of property. By reporting violations of our codes, you allow us to work together to achieve the quality of life everyone wants to enjoy in Anaheim. FOR YOUR INFORMATION There are special requirements for construction and placement of business signs. These codes are designed for safety and appearance. All signs must be approved by the City prior to installation. ■Sign permits can be obtained from the Building Division. For information call [PHONE REDACTED]. ■Posting handbills on utility poles or vehicles is not allowed. ■Portable signs are not allowed. ■The display of banners, flags and fixed balloons is only allowed when a Special Event Permit has been approved by the Planning Services Division. For information call [PHONE REDACTED]. ■Garage sale signs are not permitted on utility poles, street signs or other City owned property. ■Repeat offenders who continue to place or cause to be placed any sign(s) in the public right of way shall be subject to criminal citations.
