anaheim public utilities save water digital art contest 2015 Celebrate and explore your creativity in support of Water Awareness Month by participating in this year’s Save Water – Digital Art Contest. Anaheim Public Utilities invites all 7th through 12th grade students, attending a public or private school located in Anaheim, to express their creativity using photography or digitally processed images to inspire the community to Save Water. This year’s contest, themed “Let’s Do Our Part,” aims to educate students about the severe drought, and to help raise awareness of everyday water conservation practices. You could win an Ipad mini or up to a $100 visa gift card! ---PAGE BREAK--- This organization and its activities are not related to or sponsored by the Anaheim Union High, Orange, or Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School Districts. Guidelines for the 2015 Anaheim Public Utilities save water - Digital Art Contest All rules and specifications MUST be followed in order for the artwork to qualify for judging by Anaheim Public Utilities. ELIGIBILITY AND JUDGING All 7th through 12th grade students attending a public or private school located in Anaheim are eligible to submit a photo or digital artwork. There is a limit of one entry per student. Each entry will be judged separately based on originality, uniqueness, and appropriateness of the theme and water conservation message. PRIZES 1st place grand prize is an iPad mini 2nd place prize is a $100 Visa gift card 3rd place prize is a $75 Visa gift card The winning photo or digital artwork will be displayed at The MUZEO Museum in Anaheim during the month of May for Water Awareness Month. OFFICIAL RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS 1. The contest theme is “Let’s Do Our Part.” Entries must be original and illustrate the theme and importance of water conservation to the city or your unique way in which you identify with saving water during the drought. 2. All entries must be either 3300 pixels by 2550 pixels (8.5”x11”) or 5100 pixels by 3300 pixels (11”x17”). 3. All entries must be high-resolution image files (at least 300 dpi) in one of the following formats: JPG, TIFF, or PDF. 4. Entries may be emailed to: [EMAIL REDACTED] or submitted in-person or by mail on a CD/USB drive. 5. Entries must be 100% original work, and may not contain any third party material or content (including but not limited to any company logos or trademarks, photographs, likenesses, film or video clips, music, or any other copyrighted or trademarked content) for which you have not been granted specific written permission for this use by the copyright or trademark rights holder. All submissions must include the following: * Student’s First & Last Name * School Name, Address & Phone Number * Student’s Phone Number * Teacher’s First and Last Name * Student’s Email Address * Student’s Grade Level Failure to include this information will result in disqualification from the judging. DISCLAIMER All entries become the exclusive property of the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Public Utilities. The City of Anaheim has the right to display or otherwise use the submissions for future reproduction. Submissions will not be returned.
