Katella Ave to N. of the RR Grade Crossing RCP2014-10889 FOR INFORMATION ONLY, the Department of Public Works is advertising for bids to construct Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) at S. Douglass Rd. and Katella Ave. The work to be undertaken consists of furnishing, installing, testing and integration of three Dynamic Message Signs on existing overhead sign structures, controllers, establishing communication to the central control system at the Traffic Management Center using existing fiber optic cable, furnishing and integrating the central control system to the server, printer and central control software, training, and spare parts in accordance with details shown on the contract documents. The goal of this project will be to install the dynamic message signs to provide advance traffic warnings, directional information and caution messages to provide safe and efficient movement for motorist. 10% bid bond required. Liquidated Damages will be $500 per day.
