CITY OF ANAHEIM Public Utilities Department Water Engineering Division DATE: May 7, 2012 TO: Future Water Customer/Applicant FROM: Water Engineering SUBJECT: Hydraulic Data Required - Fire Flow, Domestic Demands and Hydraulic Distribution Network Analysis The following information is required in order to review a request for water service, as required in the “Administrative Procedures and Design Guidelines for Water Improvement Plans.” 1. Please provide the following information for Fire Line installations: a) Fire Flow Test Results (requires testing existing hydrants); b) Fire Flow demand for sprinkler systems; and c) Fire Flow requirements from the fire department or; type of construction as defined in the building code and square footage of largest building in the development. 2. Please provide for the project the following information for Domestic and Irrigation Meter Installations: a) Maximum Day Demand for each service; b) Peak Hour Water Demand for each service; and c) Average Day Demand for each service. 3. For larger projects, please provide the following information: a) All information requested in items 1 and 2 above. b) Submit an on-site water system master plan that includes a hydraulic distribution network analysis. The network analysis needs to demonstrate compliance with the Design Guidelines. Unit counts for each type of water demand and each building are required.
