EXHIBIT B-2 GENERAL NOTES FOR EROSION CONTROL PLANS 1. In case of an emergency relative to erosion control, and sediment control, at ( 24 hours a day. 2. All sediment control BMPs (i.e. Gravel bags, silt fence, fiber rolls) shall be in place at the end of each working day and on weekends when the National Weather Service 5-day forecast (www.weather.gov) shows greater than 50% chance of precipitation within 48 hours. 3. All BMPs on Erosion Control Plans shall be inspected at least weekly, and 48 hours following any rain event of 0.5 inches or more. Corrective actions shall be initiated within 24 hours of identifying a deficiency and completed within 7 days. 4. Desilting basins shall be drained or pumped dry no sooner than 24 hours after but no later than 48 hours after accumulation. Dewatering shall be performed above the settling zone to avoid disturbing sediment captured in the basin. Silt and debris shall be removed and properly disposed of when the sediment storage capacity is met. 5. If the combination of erosion and sediment control BMPs on the erosion control is determined by the Public Works Inspector to be inadequate or ineffective, the Erosion Control Plan shall be modified and resubmitted to Public Works for review, approval, and implementation.
