Commercial Solar Energy Program Solar Energy technology converts sunlight into electricity that can be used to power your business. Solar Energy systems are usually mounted on roofs; they are modular, easily expandable, create no noise or pollution and are reliable energy generators. An added benefit to solar energy systems is that they require low maintenance and have long service lives. Anaheim Public Utilities offers financial incentives for those who install solar energy systems at their business. Applicant must be an Anaheim Public Utilities’ electric customer with a non- delinquent account; 2. Incentives are for qualifying solar energy systems that do not exceed historical or current electric needs of the customer at the site of installation; 3. System provider/installer with one of the following licenses: a. General Engineering Contractor, b. General Building Contractor c. C-10 Electrical Contractor, or d. or C-46 Solar Contractor; 4. System provider/installer must provide a 10-year warranty against breakdown or degradation in electrical performance of more than 15 percent of the system's rated electrical output, a 10-year or better warranty on modules and 10-year or better warranty on the inverter; and 5. The PV system must be operated in Anaheim for a minimum of three years and penalties apply for early removal of the PV system. For More Information 1.
