Anaheim, CA 92807 (714) 998-8380 Information for Photographers at Oak Canyon Nature Center You need to receive a permit from Oak Canyon Nature Center if any of the following apply…  You will be photographing or filming persons for any reason  You will be paid for your services by a client  Your photographs/ film will be published  You will sell your photographs/ film  You will be utilizing props or creating a scene  You will be utilizing any Nature Center facilities, such as the amphitheatre or deck area Applications should be filed no later than ten (10) days in advance of the date you wish to shoot. Production companies may be required to receive a permit from the Public Works Department, Traffic Engineering Division. You do not need a permit if…  You are taking photographs of the natural settings/ wildlife that cannot be classified under one of the conditions listed above. Applicable Fees…  $20.00 Application fee for all permits.  $40.00/ hour* Use of Amphitheatre or Deck.  $30.00/hour Staffing fee (when determined that staff are required to ensure proper use).  $40.00/ hour* Use of Props (A prop is defined as any object in the picture that is not worn on the body. A prop also defined as equipment other than a camera and tripod.) *Anaheim residents pay $30.00/hour with valid proof of residency. PARK REGULATIONS ARE POSTED AND MUST BE OBSERVED AT ALL TIMES AMC 13.08.020.040: Within the limits of any of said parks, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to cut, break, injure, deface or disturb any tree, shrub, plant, rock, building, cage, pen, monument, fence, bench or other structure, apparatus or property; or to pluck, pull up, cut, take or remove any shrub, bush, plant or flower; or to mark or write upon, paint or deface in any manner, any building, monument, fence, bench or other structure. AMC 13.08.020.180: Within the limits of any of said parks, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to practice, carry on, conduct or solicit for any trade, occupation, business or profession or to circulate any petition of whatsoever kind or character without permission of the City Council. The Oak Canyon Nature Center has established operational guidelines which are designed to promote the conservation of the Nature Center's wildlife resources, as well as for the benefit and protection of park visitors. These guidelines include: No pets, dogs, or horses allowed on grounds, no collecting of natural objects, no amplified music, no bicycles or skateboards, no hiking off of trails (including next to the stream), and no smoking.
