Under the approved Rate and Method of Apportionment (“RMA”) for CFD No. 08-1, the City is authorized to levy special taxes on your property beginning in fiscal year 2009-10. However, given current economic conditions and the fact that bonds have not yet been issued for CFD No. 08-1, the City has determined that it will NOT levy special taxes in fiscal year 2009-10. The City intends to levy special taxes for CFD No. 08-1 beginning in fiscal year 2010-11. Please note that this is a one year delay in the levy of special taxes. The City reserves the right to levy the special tax in all subsequent fiscal years as authorized under the RMA.
