Tremayne, County Clerk and Ex Officio Clerk to the Board of Supervisors/Board of Equalization Ex Officio Registrar of Voters COUNTY OF ALPINE Office of County Clerk NOTICE OF ELECTION SPECIAL DISTRICTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, a consolidated election will be held in the special districts herewith listed, in the County of Alpine, State of California, for the purpose of electing directors, as follows: BEAR VALLEY WATER DISTRICT: 3 Directors Term of office: 12/03/2021 – 12/05/2025 To be elected at large Qualifications: Holder of title to land within the District MARKLEEVILLE PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT: 3 Directors 2 Directors – At Large Term of office: 12/03/2021 – 12/05/2025 1 Director – At Large, remaining term Term of office: 12/03/2021 – 12/01/2023 To be elected at large Qualifications: Resident of the district and qualified elector KIRKWOOD MEADOWS PUBLIC UTILITY DISTRICT: 4 Directors 3 Directors – At Large for seats 3, 4 and 5 Term of office: 12/03/2021 – 12/05/2025 1 Director – Seat 2, remaining term Term of Office: 12/03/2021 – 12/01/2023 To be elected at large Qualifications: Resident of the district and qualified elector PLEASE BE ADVISED that the official forms of Declaration of Candidacy for eligible candidates desiring to file for the elective offices may be obtained from the Secretary of the District, or the Office of the Alpine County Clerk, Administrative Office Building, P.O. Box 158, Markleeville, CA 96120, and must be filed between July 12, 2021 and no later than August 6, 2021, at 5:00 p.m., in the Office of the County Clerk. BE ADVISED that if there are no nominees or an insufficient number of nominees for each elective office, and a petition for election is not filed, appointments to elective office will be made, as prescribed by law (Elections Code §10515). NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the election within the above named district will be conducted by mailed ballot. No polling place will be established.
