NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Alpine County Board of Supervisors Tuesday February 2, 2021 10:30 AM Website link Phone number: 1-[PHONE REDACTED] US Zoom Webinar ID: 930 3615 3372 AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF ALPINE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA EXTENDING URGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 734-20 SUSPENDING REGISTRATION OF RESIDENTIAL SHORT- TERM RENTALS DURING THE MORATORIUM PERIOD On March 17, 2020, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No. 734-20, an urgency ordinance to suspend registrations for new residential short-term rentals. The Board extended the ordinance on April 21, 2020 and that extension expires on March 8, 2021. State law allows for up to two extensions of the initial approval of an urgency ordinance. This is the second extension which shall be for twelve months which is in accordance with the limits in State law. The Board of Supervisors finds that the proposed first extension is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to section 15060(c)(2) and 15060(c)(3) of California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3. Any person interested may appear and be heard as to whether the Interim Urgency Ordinance should be extended for the first time, or on any other matter related to the extension of the Interim Urgency Ordinance. If you challenge the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Clerk of the Board in advance.
