Building\Building Document\Forms\Kirkwood Area Traffic Mitigation Fee COUNTY OF ALPINE Community Development Building Department Tony Creter, Building Official 50 Diamond Valley Road, Markleeville, CA 96120 Phone: [PHONE REDACTED], Fax: [PHONE REDACTED] www.alpinecountyca.gov Kirkwood Area Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee On May 2, 2006 the Alpine County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution to require Traffic Impact Fees of new development in the 2003 Kirkwood Specific Plan area. This fee is a requirement of the Final Re-circulated Revised Environmental Impact Report adopted with the Specific Plan. The fee is needed to match state and local agency monies used to build improvements to the regional transportation system. These improvements help to mitigate the effects of increased traffic due to new development in Kirkwood. The Kirkwood Area Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee ordinance outlines the procedure for payment of the fee. The fee is in effect as of July 1, 2006 and payment is due to the Planning Department before a Temporary or Final Certificate of Occupancy will be issued (whichever occurs first). By signing below you consent to the fee as a requirement to receive a Temporary or Final Certificate of Occupancy from the Alpine County Building Department. The fee for single family homes is $3,250. I, acknowledge that the payment of fees required by the Kirkwood Area Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee ordinance is due prior to receiving a Temporary or Final Certificate of Occupancy. Signed: Date:
