Alpine County Health Department, 75-B Diamond Valley Rd., Markleeville, CA 96120 Alpine County Board of Supervisors, Phone: (530) 694-2281 District 1: January Riddle, District 2: Ron Hames, District 3: Irvin Jim, District 4: Terry Woodrow, District 5: David Griffith Date: Wednesday February 24, 2021 NEW Invitation to call our Warm Line: You will eventually become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine Get on the list – get In line! We need you help in planning the next phases of our COVID-19 vaccine administration. As we have shared, we do not know how much vaccine will be allocated to Alpine County from week to week. In order to balance the supply of vaccine and the anticipated staffing needs in the weeks to come, we are now inviting your calls to help us plan and to quantify the demand from all who may become eligible for vaccination as the supply permits. So far, we have focused on our essential workforce, seniors 65 years of age and older, and those 18- 64 with underlying medical conditions, and they will always have priority. If you have not been eligible so far, now is the time to act! We are interested in talking to anyone 18 years of age and older: - who is a full-time resident of Alpine County - who does not live in Alpine County, but is employed in Alpine County, and their household members (must be linked to the person who is employed) - who is a part-time resident and property owner in Alpine County In all cases, documentation will be required at the time of vaccination. This may include driver’s license, property tax statement, utility bill, pay stub, or letter from your employer. A list will be complied (contrary to all we have said up until now!), and names will be prioritized based on age, underlying medical conditions, occupation, and residency. We are not making any promises as to timing but need this information to plan and to equitably ensure that Alpine County can achieve herd immunity and become a safe place to live and work and recreate in the days to come.
