Addendum No. 1 PERRY WALTHER AND BEAR VALLEY PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS BEAR VALLEY, CLAIFORNIA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT COUNTY OF ALPINE STATE OF CALIFORNIA JUNE 19, 2017 Introduction: The Alpine County Community Development Department hereby issues this Addendum No. 1 to make changes to the Contract Documents for the Perry Walther and Bear Valley Library Parking Lot Improvements. Upon its issuance, Addendum No. 1 is made a part of the Contract Documents for the Perry Walther and Bear Valley Library Parking Lot Improvements Project. Contractor is required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum and any subsequent addendums by indicating in writing in Paragraph 6 of the Bid Proposal, Page 14 of the Solicitation Documents. Addenda Items: The following changes are hereby made to the Solicitation Documents: 1. Title Sheet of Solicitation Documents – “Bid Opening” date is hereby changed to 2 P.M. June 22, 2017. 2. Notice to Contractors Paragraph #1 - Amend the following wording: “…Bids for construction of the following will be received at the office of the County Clerk of the County of Alpine California until 2:00 PM on June 20, 2017,” to 2:00 PM on June 22, 2017,..” 3. Bid Schedule – The Bid Schedule, Pages 11-13 of the Solicitation Documents shall hereby be replaced with the attached “Revised” Bid Schedule containing 13 Bid Items. 4. Clarification Item - The special provisions require an asphalt gradation of 3/4" max-med but the soil report that accompanies the special provisions recommends a Caltrans 1/2" mix. 1/2” mix is acceptable. 5. Clarification Item - The special provisions and a note on the plans require no AC lifts greater than 2 inches. The Special Provisions are hereby modified to allow a single AC lift of 3” for paving of the parking lot. ---PAGE BREAK--- 6. Clarification Item - The special provisions mention the AC supplier must provide a lime stabilized mix or if not, use Teichert mix from Vernalis. Lime stabilization not required. 7. Clarification Item - The special provisions mention the use of a 20' ski for the placement of AC: Contractor shall use a paving machine and compaction equipment of suitable size required to place and compact AC to within tolerances specified. ---PAGE BREAK--- BID SCHEDULE “ALPINE COUNTY – PERRY WALTHER AND BEAR VALLEY PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS” as shown on the plans and in accordance with the specifications and contract documents.
