Alpine County Health Department, 75-B Diamond Valley Rd., Markleeville, CA 96120 Alpine County Board of Supervisors, Phone: (530) 694-2281 District 1: January Riddle, District 2: Ron Hames, District 3: Irvin Jim, District 4: Terry Woodrow, District 5: David Griffith March 1, 2022 Rescinding Masking Order of August 30, 2021: “Order of the Alpine County Public Health Officer for the Wearing of Face Coverings in County Workplace Settings Inside and Strongly Recommended for Outside in Crowded Conditions” dated 8/30/2021 Adoption of Strong Recommendations from the State of California Alpine County Public Health, with the support of the Alpine County Board of Supervisors, will immediately adopt the new recommendations released yesterday by the State of California which took effect today: • Effective March 1, 2022, the requirement that unvaccinated individuals mask in indoor public settings will move to a strong recommendation that all persons, regardless of vaccine status, continue indoor masking. • Universal masking shall remain required in specified high-risk settings (see link below). • After March 11, 2022, the universal masking requirement for K-12 and Childcare settings will terminate. CDPH strongly recommends that individuals in these settings continue to mask in indoor settings when the universal masking requirement lifts.
