Alpine County Sheriff’s Office Invites the Public to Review its OHV Grant Application The California State Parks’ Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division administers a grant program which has provided funding to help the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office manage off-highway vehicle recreation use in Alpine County. The Alpine County Sheriff’s Office will have completed the 2019-2020 Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation grant request by March 2nd, 2020 and will be available for public review March 3rd, 2020. The Alpine County Sheriff’s Office grant request provides for operation and support of public safety and law enforcement efforts for numerous trails and roads located on public lands throughout Alpine County that are open to OHV use. The public review and comment period for the 2019-2020 Grant and Cooperative Agreement Program will run from Monday, March 3rd, through Monday May 4th, 2020. The public is invited to review the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office’s application at the website http://ohv.parks.ca.gov. Copies of the grant request are also available to the public at the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office, Markleeville, CA.
