A ALPINE COUNTY UNIFIED COMMAND DATE: July 28, 2021 RE: Mandatory Evacuations Lifted & Road Closure Update FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ALPINE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REMOVED THE MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS EFFECTIVE AT 7:00 AM TODAY 7/28/2021: 1. WOLF CREEK, STATE ROUTE 89 & STATE ROUTE 4/SILVER CITY Road Conditions State Route 89 from the junction of US 395 to State Route 4 is now open State Route 4 from the junction of State Route 89 to Silver City is now open We strongly encourage members of the public and residents to limit travel to only essential travel in this area due to continued fire activity. Please be respectful of the crews in the area and do not interfere with firefighting activity.
