2 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SEALED BIDS for construction of the following will be received at the office of the County Clerk of the County of Alpine, California until 2:00 PM on July 25, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read: FY 19/20 RMRA PROJECTS, PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, ALPINE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Each bid shall be in accordance with the PLANS/SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS as prepared by the County Engineer. Plans and Specifications may be obtained at http://www.lumosinc.com/planroom/ for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Prospective Bidders must be Contractors presently licensed under the California State Law for the type of work specified herein. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by qualification statements of the bidder’s competency to perform the proposed work in accordance with the specifications. Bids may be mailed to the County Clerk at P.O. Box 158, Markleeville, California 96120 or delivered to the County Clerk, 99 Water Street, Markleeville, CA 96120; however, bids must be received by the County Clerk prior to the time set for the bid opening or they may not be considered. Principal features of the work include micro-surfacing, crack-sealing, chip sealing, striping and ancillary construction items, all complete and in place in accordance with the PLANS/SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. The work is to begin on or after August 26, 2019 and be completed within 55 working days. The estimated cost for the project is $475,000 to $550,000. If the Contract is to be awarded, Alpine County will award the Contract to the lowest responsive bidder based on the total Bid from the Bid Schedule in the Contract Documents; provided however, that Alpine County in its sole discretion reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, or waive any errors or discrepancies in the Bids.
