NOTICE OF VACANCY ALPINE COUNTY CHILD CARE PLANNING COUNCIL Notice is hereby given that the Alpine County Board of Supervisors is requesting applications for public appointment to the Alpine County Child Care & Development Planning Council. Said public appointments are to fill a vacancy in the following category: Consumer Member; Public Agency Representative; Community Representative; Discretionary Appointee Member A Local Child Care Planning Council was established for each of the 58 counties in California to access and prioritize their community’s child care and development needs. Based on the local child care needs of families who are seeking or are currently receiving subsidized and/or non- subsidized services, the LPC is responsible for providing recommendations to the California Department of Education (CDE) on local priorities in the allocation of State and Federal childcare and development funds. The Alpine County Clerk will accept applications for public members until the vacancies are filled. Appointment will be made at a regular meeting of the Alpine County Board of Supervisors.
