I SMOKE FREE MOVIES Youth (5-12 grades) and parents please join us for our “I SMOKE FREE MOVIES” project in Alpine County. You can help remove tobacco from G, PG, and PG-13 movies. We will meet one time per month at the Health and Human Services Building for meetings and a movie. We will attend one movie per month at Ironwood Theatre in Minden to evaluation movies for tobacco content. Activities during this project occur: Regular movie viewings at Ironwood Theatre in Minden. DVD movie reviews (Alpine County). meetings in Alpine County. Periodic trainings and workshops. Learn how to conduct a letter writing campaign Petition signing campaign Community presentations and public speaking opportunities. Youth Leadership skills Community activism. Opportunity to earn additional movie passes and other prizes. Important: You must complete the application and parent permission slip to participate in this project.
