AB - 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ALEXANDER COUNTY ALTERNATE STATE EMERGENCY FUNDS SOUTH YADKIN RIVER DEBRIS REMOVAL Bids for the project entitled Alternate State Emergency Funds South Yadkin River Debris Removal will be received by McGill Associates, P.A. until 5 p.m. local time on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 in the McGill Associates Hickory Office located at 1240 19th Street Lane NW, Hickory, NC 28601 or submitting electronically via email attachment (15 MB or less) to [EMAIL REDACTED]. THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF: installation of erosion control devices; upland vegetation clearing for site access; removal of trees, stumps, and brush within the perimeter of the channel to ground level; removal of down trees, logs, drifts, debris and other obstructions lying wholly or partially within the channel; felling of damaged trees to natural channel bottom; bank shaping to re-establish stable channel banks; hauling and disposal of material at approved on-site disposal area; chipping or burning of disposed debris; grading, seeding, and mulching and site restoration. Completion of work is expected with 75 days of notice to proceed. Pre-Bid Meeting An optional pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Alexander County Services Center located at 151 West Main Avenue, Suite 3, Taylorsville, NC 28681. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. The site will be open for a two-hour period following the pre-bid meeting for all interested parties to visit and inspect the site. All questions must be submitted at the pre-bid meeting or emailed to Jonathan Herman ([EMAIL REDACTED]) at least days prior to bid deadline. The Bidding Documents for the project may be examined online by visiting www.mcgillbidline.com and entering the Quest Project Number: 8334345. Digital copies of Bid Documents are available for purchase at www.mcgillassociates.com for a fee of $15.00 per set. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, or to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
