Questions and Answers RFP No. 2020-44 Posted December 23, 2020 Q 1: What is the projected annual volume? A 1: The City expects several of its Departments to use the ensuing contract(s) to complete pre-employment background and residency checks. The estimated number of pre- employment background and residency checks will range from 40 to 75. Q 2: Page 4, C(i) of the RFP indicates that Reference Checks may be required. How many references per applicant will require verification from the selected Proposer(s)? A 2: The City expects to have the selected Proposer(s) verify at least two professional references per applicant. Q 3: Page 5, E(i) of the RFP indicates that Fingerprinting Responses may be required. Is the City looking for a vendor to provide fingerprinting solutions? If yes, please provide your ORI number. A 3: While the City does not seek nor require these services at this time, the City may be interested in these services in the future. Whether a Proposer submits a cost proposal for these services will not impact the City’s scoring of said respective Proposal. Q 4: Page 5, 4.3 of the RFP indicates that the selected Proposer(s) shall contact each reference listed and shall ask questions as prepared by the City. Will each selected Proposer(s)’s respective compliance team have access to these questions to ensure that the questions meet FCRA and required regulations? A 4: The City will expect each selected Proposer to review the questions ahead of time, and advise the City as to whether or not the City’s questions meet the governing rules and regulations. The selected Proposer(s) shall not amend or remove any questions without the City’s prior approval. Q 5: Page 5, 4.4 of the RFP indicates that the selected Proposer(s) may be required to check into an applicant’s criminal history. Is the City looking for the standard seven-year search? A 5: Yes. Q 6: With regard to Page 5, E of the RFP, is the City looking for a provider who is able to collect and store the listed documents? A 6: No. Q 7: Do you have a maximum spending limit? If yes, can you please indicate the amount? A 7: While we do not have a maximum spending limit, the City plans to use the ensuing contract(s) on an as-needed and non-exclusive basis. ---PAGE BREAK--- Q 8: If the City has an existing contract for these services, what does the City currently pay for these services? A 8: The City’s current contract contemplates a smaller annual volume of pre-employment background and residency checks. The maximum annual spending under the current contract is just short of $20,000.00. This RFP contemplates a much larger annual volume.
