RFP 2020-29 ADDENDUM #1 October 23, 2020 The following information is provided as a result of question(s) posed by vendor(s): QUESTION 1: Are landlords and tenants going to be court-ordered to attend educational classes? ANSWER 1: No, landlords and tenants who attend Good Neighbor School classes will be attending voluntarily. QUESTION 2: Can different organizations partner and apply together? ANSWER 2: Yes, organizations are encouraged to partner and apply together. Section 7.3 of the RFP states that “Preference will be given to organizations that have a desire and an ability to partner with other organizations and to provide said educational services alongside pre-existing activities and/or meetings”. QUESTION 3: Can trainings be provided in different formats such as webinars or videos? ANSWER 3: Yes, proposers are encouraged to provide educational classes via different mediums and formats. Additionally, Section 3.1G of the RFP states the Proposers should provide, “An explanation for the best format to teach the topic(s) of the Proposer’s choice, including considerations for another COVID-related shutdown”. QUESTION 4: Can attendees be from different municipalities? ANSWER 4: Attendees should be landlords and tenants who operate or rent in the City of Albany, and marketing & recruitment is to be aimed at those individuals. That being said, attendees from other municipalities are not to be discouraged from attending provided they are not preventing City of Albany landlords or tenants from attending. QUESTION 5: Can proposers submit additional, different topics than what is presented in the curriculum? ANSWER 5: Yes. Section 3.1H of the RFP states that each proposer shall provide, “A list of additional areas of interests or other related subject matter, if any. If providing the list, Proposers shall identify a scope of teaching for those additional areas of interests or related subject matters as well as a justification for each of those topics. While Proposers are not required to propose additional topics outside of the list of curriculum in Section 4 of this ---PAGE BREAK--- RFP, Proposers are encouraged to submit Proposals for topics outside of, but related to, the curriculum if desired.” Additionally, Section 8: Alternatives states that, “Proposals may include alternative matters or items not specified or requested in this RFP. However, all such alternative matters or items must be listed separately from the Proposal and the cost(s) thereof must be separate and itemized.
